WHAT IS THIS STUDENT PLANNER PRINTABLE?

Every term starts the same way: a timetable you swear you’ll remember, three assignment deadlines you’re sure are “ages away”, and one exam that arrives like it was hiding behind the door. Memory is a terrible filing system for a school year. A paper planner is a better one. This student planner printable is free to download – print a fresh set each week, or one master set for the whole term.

It suits school students juggling six subjects, college students mixing lectures with part-time work, and homeschoolers who want the week visible at a glance. The timetable holds the routine, the assignment tracker holds the deadlines, and the study log holds you honest about whether revision actually happened.

Younger learners may prefer our colourful free homeschool planner, built for parent-led days — this page is the student’s own version: less decoration, more deadlines, designed to be run by the person whose grades are on the line.

WHAT’S INSIDE THIS STUDENT PLANNER PRINTABLE

WEEKLY CLASS TIMETABLE

A Monday-to-Saturday grid with periods down the side — the whole teaching week on one page. Fill it in once per term in pen, then keep it where you get ready in the morning. No more “wait, is it double maths today?”

ASSIGNMENT & DUE DATE TRACKER

The most important box on the page: subject, assignment, date set and date due, with a tick box for handed in. Deadlines stop being ambushes when they’re written down the day they’re announced. Check this list every Sunday and the week plans itself.

STUDY SESSION LOG

Four lines a day for what you actually studied, for how long, and what still feels shaky. Ten honest minutes recorded beats two imaginary hours. Over a month, the log shows exactly which subjects are quietly starving — usually the one you “revise later”.

EXAM & TEST COUNTDOWN

A short list for upcoming tests with the date and a days-left column you update each week. “Exam in 19 days” triggers gentle, early revision; “exam tomorrow” triggers panic. Same exam — the countdown decides which one you get.

GRADES RECORD

A small table for results as they come back: subject, test, score, and the grade you were aiming for. Watching the real numbers next to the targets tells you where the next study hour earns the most — far better than a vague feeling of “I should work harder”.

NOTES & QUESTIONS FOR TEACHERS

A few lines for the things that evaporate by the time you’re home: the page number mentioned in class, the question you meant to ask, the club that meets on Thursdays. Write it here or lose it forever — those are historically the only two options. Building the study habit itself is easier with our weekly habit tracker beside it.

HOW TO USE THIS STUDENT PLANNER PRINTABLE

  1. Fill in the timetable first, in pen, the day you receive it. Add room numbers if your school uses them — the first two weeks of term stop being a treasure hunt.
  2. Enter every known assignment and test date the moment it’s announced, not when you get home. The tracker only works if it hears about deadlines before they’re due, so make the classroom the place you write them.
  3. Look at the due-date tracker every Sunday and pick the week’s three study priorities. Anything due within seven days outranks everything else, however much you’d rather revise the fun subject.
  4. Break big assignments into study-log-sized pieces: “history essay” becomes “research Tuesday, outline Wednesday, draft Friday”. Small named sessions get done; giant vague ones get admired from a distance.
  5. Log each study session honestly, including the short ones, and mark what still feels unclear. That unclear list becomes your questions for teachers — and your revision plan for the exam countdown.
  6. At the end of each week, record any grades that came back, update the days-left column, and print next week’s fresh student planner printable. Ten minutes of Sunday admin buys five days of calm.

PRINTING TIPS

Print at “Actual size” or 100 percent scale so the timetable grid stays roomy enough to write in. Print the timetable once per term on card if you can, and the tracker and log pages weekly on ordinary paper. Both A4 and US Letter versions are included, and the black-and-white design prints cleanly on any home printer. Keep the finished week clipped inside your exercise book or folder — a planner left at home plans nothing. For the ordinary days between school days, our daily planner template keeps weekends and holidays in order too.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this planner for school students or university students?

Both. The timetable and assignment tracker fit a school week of set lessons, while the study log, exam countdown and grades record suit college and university courses where nobody checks whether you revised. Homeschoolers use it too — the timetable simply follows your own schedule instead of a school’s.

How do I stop missing assignment deadlines?

Write the deadline down twice: once in the tracker the moment it’s set, and once in the exam-and-test countdown when it’s a week away. Then check the tracker every Sunday. Missed deadlines are almost never a memory problem — they’re a “written down nowhere” problem.

Can I print just one page a week?

Yes — the tracker and study log are designed as a weekly set. The timetable only needs reprinting when your classes change. Many students print a term’s worth in one go and keep the stack in their folder, ready each Monday.

What if my timetable changes mid-term?

It happens — reprint the timetable page, copy the tracker across (two minutes), and carry on. Treat planner pages as working documents, not precious objects; a crossed-out timetable that matches reality beats a beautiful one that doesn’t.
